2025 Redfish Market Price Analysis Report Complete

To ensure the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) has the most up-to-date information about the prices of Texas redfish for use in any ELAP claims, TAA commissioned Dr. Shraddha Hegde, an Aquaculture Economist with Texas A&M University, to complete the 2025 Market Price Analysis Report. As in previous reports, the market price information for redfish was calculated from farm sales in 2025. The report, which provides prices of redfish from 2021 to 2025, has been provided to the FSA directors at the federal and state levels.

Cormorant Relief Act

Encourage Texas Senators to Support

In early March, TAA submitted letters to both Texas Senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, to encourage them to support S. 1255, The Cormorant Relief Act of 2025. We also asked them to consider amending the wording to include marine water farms.

Senator John Cornyn’s Legislative Assistant invited TAA members to meet virtually on March 18th to learn more. Information supporting the need for this legislation was shared after the call from TAA and NAA.

This important legislation has already passed the House, so now we need it to pass the Senate. Please call or email both Senators to voice your support.
